I had a great day today - a whole day in my sewing room...and some shopping - check out my beautiful new fabrics...

Billy-Jo is 17 at midnight. Happy Birthday to my gorgeous girl, I love you.

It's winter and the sun is shining - I love the cosy feeling of the warm sun on a winters day. I havn't seen the bithday girl yet - a sign for me of your growing independence. I hope Your day so far has been fun. I have been thinking of you all day.

MY PACT

Nothing for 4 months ~ twice in one day! I was so concerned about what to write that I ended up with a boring blog or more precisely an empty blog - so I made a pact with myself to post something, anything at least once a week and hopefully daily - even if it just a  favourite quote.

My Youngest daughter Billy-Jo, turns 17 on Sunday - quite the Gemini! Started her own blog a couple of weeks ago ~ ramblings of a dancerholic ~ have a read, I love it. http://www.dancerbj.blogspot.com/

ABOUT TIME!!!

I feel bad, neglecting my blog...  I have been busy, busy, busy with life in general taking lots of turns - things you don't  plan happen and  things you plan don't happen and you need to take care of all those unexpected events and there have been quite a few!

My eldest daughter Jema has joined 'madeit' selling gorgeous knitted pants for babies and toddlers  "Jembelina Knits" @ www.madeit.com.au/jembelina. I just have  to show off a photo of Miss Evie wearing a pair. Miss Evie is my beautiful granddaughter, little sister to Zack and Leigh. She was only a few days old when this photo was taken - she will be 2 years old on December 25th.

Jema's story http://www.mummyjembelina.blogspot.com/ ~  a beautiful record of a totally unexpected event intermingled with everyday life, Evie was diagnosed with Leukeamia at the tender age of 10 months old and has been undergoing chemotherapy and all that goes with it ever since. I am so proud of my beautiful 'earth mother' and the way she has coped.

Me and the camera - not a good partnership! I want to just point it and get the photo to come out as I see it...took me forever last night to get a few half decent photos of my latest covers...it took so long - I was listing my goods at 2am! grrr and double grrr, bugger, bum and all that.

Third day at school for my daughter 'all I want to do is dance' Billy-Jo, all went well (she is 16 after all!) and very happy to be in year 12 at the right end of the food chain! She has absolutely accounted for every minute of every day and more!

Back to Kinder for my grandson Zack and first time for his little brother Leigh - can' help doing the proud grammy thing - check out the photos on my daughter Jem's wonderful blog - too cute!

Well I am off to make a drawstring bag for Evie's beads - the beads tell the story of her journey with Leukaemia - little Miss Evie is definately a girlie girl, so lots of pretty is the order of the day...another coffee and I am off!



I am lucky! lucky, lucky, lucky...I love my girls, I love my grandbabies.

Hello Monday!

School holidays nearly over - back to knowing what day of the week it is!

2010 will be the last year of school for me as a mum - my youngest daugter Billy-Jo is starting year 12 tomorrow...a bit sad really - it will probably hit me full on at the end of the year.

I am putting more covers in my store today...can't wait.

And...it's my birthday next week (which I share with Zack, my eldest grandson) and my Dad is buying me a beautiful 'Narelle' bracelet - I am very excited.

Now I have 10 minutes to get ready and get out of the house - I do this all the time - back later today..
